People are the Heart of our Programs

Therapeutic Horseback Riding

High Point Academy provides equine assisted therapy for children and adults with physical, cognitive and learning disabilities. The benefits include strengthening muscles, increasing range of motion and developing positive self esteem. In addition to enhancing the physical, emotional and social well being of our students, it is great fun! Able-bodied lessons are also available.

Education

Educational programs are being developed in Effective Communication, Health, Independent Living, Leadership, Mentoring, Nutrition, Parenting, Wellness and At Risk Youth Guidance. Future goals include providing workshops for instructor certification and continued education.

Support Groups

We plan to build community through various support groups for individuals and family members. Encouraging one another, sharing knowledge and resources provides mutual benefits.

Volunteer Training

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our programs. We train our volunteer team in order to provide a professional, safety conscious environment where everyone wins. You can make a difference by contributing your unique abilities and inspiring others to reach greater heights!
